The October 5th meeting of the Honeoye Falls – Town of Mendon Historical Society will feature Henry “Hank” Besanceney, Artist/Barber/Village Resident.
Please join us for a very special evening of conversation and stories relating to the history of Honeoye Falls. There will be photos showing the Village as it was in the past, but when conversing with Hank, almost any topic is on the table. Those attending the presentation are encouraged to participate.
A long-time resident of Honeoye Falls, Hank is best known locally as the Village Barber. A history buff, he has studied local history and served on the Planning and Zoning Boards in the Village for two decades. Hank is also a self-taught, award-winning artist who has been a member of several local art groups, including the Pastel Society of Western New York. As a member of the highly regarded Societe de Pastel de l’est du Canada, he was honored when his paintings were accepted for international exhibit in Montreal, Canada, in every year his works were submitted. Hank enjoys discussions about art, art history, wine, and of course, local history.
The meeting will begin at 7:30 on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Mendon Community Center, 167 North Main Street in Honeoye Falls. This facility is handicapped accessible. The meeting is open to the public.
